My favorite way to enjoy this fantastic hike to Odessa is to begin at Bear Lake and take the trail up to the connection to the mesmerizing views at Lake Helene and continue down to the classic shores of Odessa. From Odessa, I continue down to Fern Lake and on down past Fern Falls to the trailhead. The shuttle is a relaxing ride back to Bear Lake.
