Sandbeach Lake
Hikes in the Rockies
•
Adventure, Short Films, 01-Nov-2021
Roundtrip Length: 8.4 mi Difficulty: Strenuous
Sandbeach Lake reminds us of one of those beautiful lake beaches where you can lay out on a towel, go for a swim or take a stroll on a spacious sandy beach. The only difference is that this lake is at 10,283 feet in elevation and is surrounded by gorgeous views of Mount Copeland and St. Vrain Mountain. The 8.8 mile roundtrip hike begins at the Wild Basin area and includes moderate terrain as well as some steep climbs. Be alert while hiking as moose have been spotted on this trail.
